International 'Green' Design Competition for Students

International NGO ECOWEEK (www.ecoweek.org) and the ZEZEZE Architecture Gallery (zearchitecture.com) are happy to announce an open design competition for students of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Design.

The design competition challene is to design the exhibition ‘Joining Green Spirit with Matter’ at the ZEZEZE Architecture Gallery at the Tel Aviv Port, Israel, which will take place during ECOWEEK 2013 in the Middle East, on March 2013 (more: ecoweekconference).

The challenge is to design a multi-functioning space which will host various activities including a dynamic exhibition with changing content during the 4-week period, alongside daily activity, such as two ECOWEEK workshop groups, during ECOWEEK 2013.

The design challenge for participants is to propose a design for a given gallery space, for a given planned exhibition, while addressing a combination of functions within the exhibition space, while addressing through their design the principles of sustainable design and ecological building.

This single-stage open international competition is open to individuals or teams.

Registration deadline: December 16th, 2012.
Submissions deadline: January 13th 2013.
Registration fee: 10 euro.

Jury members: Marta Pozo Gil (MVRDV, Holland), Ulf Meyer (Ingenhoven Architects, Germany), Udi Kassif (Mayslits Kassif Architects, Israel), Elias Messinas (ECOWEEK, Greece/Israel) and Noga Lasser (ZEZEZE/N Lasser Design, Israel).
