Learning outcomes:

The project aims at the synthesis of theoretical knowledge acquired in the various disciplines of the Department of Technical Sciences profile and their practical application in the design for implementation of an architectural object, in this case is the ordering discipline "Advanced Design" in the same semester.
The purpose of teaching approach is the introduction of notions of quality requirements in architecture, and acquire skills needed to use state regulatory acts and technical regulations in the design discipline.

Content:

The project is conducted as a continuation of studies initiated to workshop in IV-th year (urban hotel project) so that aesthetic and functional problems to be completed by the material and exigencies.
Among the defining elements of an future building, are those related to the degree and level of attainment of performance criteria and these must be acknowledged and expressed both in the expression drawn and written.From this point of view, an important part of the study is the Technical Memorandum of architecture in the form presented to the "Complex Designing", containing detailed information on:
Exigency “B” - safe operation;
Exigency “C” - fire safety;
Exigency “D” - hygiene and public health, and environmental restoration;
Exigency “E” - thermal insulation and waterproof, energy saving;
Exigency “F” - noise protection.
Drawing parts are focused specifically on influences of fire safety requirements on the basic design of the future project, and involves the:
plans and sections - general scheme reflecting functional zoning and horizontal and vertical movements sc. 1:200 - where indicated:
risks of fire;
performance factors involved in limiting the spread of fire and smoke;
escape routes of the people, the maximum distance to Vertical nodes of movement and their dimensions, number of flows, etc.

Teaching Method:

Mentoring activity is provided by teams of specialists in architectural-technological problems studied and include a consultation program to support individual study is important weight.

Assessment:

Evaluation is made by a jury of specialists and considers the following criteria:
solve various specialized reliability requirements and their integration into a quality architectural design, level of detail and assembly;
consistency with respect to architectural design before this design phase;
quality and consistency of technical personal documentation;
professionalism demonstrated in consultations;
logic and clarity in written and drawn parts.
