Celia Ghyka

Associate Professor, PhD.

Chair of the Department of History& Theory of Architecture and Heritage Conservation, Associate Professor, PhD in architecture, teaches theory of architecture and art history. Her interests refer to monument, collective memory, contemporary public space, art history, art and psychoanalysis, the intersections between contemporary art and architecture, post-communism, violence and disaster in the urban environment, the social history of architecture, themes that she has approached in several writings published in Romanian academic journals and books, as well as through exhibitions and cultural projects, as well as guest lecturer in postgraduate joint courses at Ecole Nationale d'Architecture de Paris la Villette.
 Alumna of the New Europe College (Institute for Advanced Studies, Bucharest), the Getty Research Institute (Los Angeles) and Fondazione Bogliasco (New York/Genova).
