Learning outcomes:
The course aims to introduce the students in the wide field of the understanding the main elements and structures as well as the relationship between the city and the physical environment. The theoretic elements are followed by information having direct links with the practice of the profession of urban and landscape planners. The courses want to allow the students to assume the analytical basic principles and the understanding of the interrelations that the environment dictate to the analysis and the design of the human settlements. The seminaries are focused to the understanding and using of the basic skills to design the built environment (buildings and urban assembly) in relation to the main natural environment restrictions.

2. The surface of the territory (1) – relief, waters
3. The surface of the territory (1) – soil, flora, fauna
4. Sub-soil conditions for urban development
5. The clime. Natural environment resources
6. The protection of the natural environment (1). The pollution
7. The protection of the natural environment (2). Natural destructions phenomena. Elements for landscape protection

Works on the semminaries
1. Tracind a road and a platform on a particular topographical land
2. Shading study for a group of buildings
Teaching Method:
Courses, video presentations, electronic support for the courses
50% of the mark for the final exam and 25% for each of the two seminaries works.
