Learning outcomes:

The course addresses theoretical aspects regarding the reading, analysis, interpretation of the urban structure in the idea of ​​designing urban urban spaces responding to functional and aesthetic-configurative needs and the ability to carry out architectural projects for buildings of limited complexity and low importance. The result is the formation of responsible skills on the environment with an emphasis on the correct interpretation of urban and territorial development, architecture, from an ecological perspective and sustainable development.
The general theme proposes the understanding of the complex issue of the dynamics of the urban organism, the acquisition of the theoretical mechanisms of understanding, interpretation and possible anticipation of the evolution of the city in the current and future context.
The main objectives of the course refer to the understanding of the city as a socio-spatial system and the role of urbanism and urban planning. The rural-urban relationship in the development of contemporary cities, cultural identity and urban development, utopia and reality in urban planning and projects, specificity and institutionalization in urban development, urban risks - general concepts and implication on urban evolution
Upon successful completion of this discipline, students will be able to:
