Learning outcomes:
The course aims to deepen understanding and research methods in landscape, the micro level, at macro-territory and the role of research in the conservation macro- landscape and how to structure and implementation of landscape research in current practice.

Content:
Sources of Knowledge. Epistemology and Philosophy-Science relationship.
Scientific knowledge. Research methods and landscape
Conventional and unconventional research methods (creative)
Transgression of borders classical disciplines. Fragmentation and recombination of disciplines. Relations between the sphere of research and other related sciences.
Research and case studies in the field of natural, anthropogenic and cultural
Understand and deepen the idea of landscape design, restoration and policies, and how to implement it in the dissertation, building a bibliography, argumentation theme chosen dissertation ideas and build a plan.
Teaching Method:
Thematic lectures, illustrated and commented exposure, individual discussion
Computer projections, slides, draft author commented illustrative materials (blueprints historical photo archive, research, etc.);
Assessment:
Evaluating the students projects, assessing student work submitted by individual study: presenting the portfolio
