Understanding the thematic area of urban planning and specifically of the interconnections between urbanistic and conservation doctrines; obtaining a necessary reference level in urban planning for a professional in heritage conservation area.

Industrial revolution as a breaking point in cities’ evolution
Urban types as a reflection of historical development
Local understanding of specificity
The question of heritage within the post-industrial city
Urban heritage as major urban planning issue of contemporary times
