Learning outcomes:
The course aims to familiarize students with the European Union in terms of its historical evolution and how it works and is organized. The focus is on existing relations between the Romanian and functional bodies at Community level.
Content:
Discipline is part of Territory and administration module, aiming to create a complete picture of the state administrative system and UE space.
During the seven courses will expose the main concepts on:
1. Defining European administrative space and a brief history of the European Union
2. The administrative structures of the European Union - European Parliament
3. The administrative structures of the European Union - European Commission
4. The administrative structures of the European Union - European Council and Council of Europe
5. The administrative structures of the European Union - others
6. Functional relations between the Community and nations
7. Case studies - examples of community institutions in urban and spatial planning
Teaching Method:
illustrated and commented lectures, exercises.
Assessment:
Final grade is (written) examination grade
