The cultural center project is a two-phase semester project that deepens one architecture program each: theater and exhibition. The overall project will be carried out in teams of 2-3 students, and the last part will be an individual project.
This year the location of the cultural project is Hala Laminor, designed by the architect Horia Creangă, a generous space, restored in recent years, which offers a special framework for the interior architecture projects.
Phase 1 includes site visit, analysis of the existing building, historical documentation, case studies for cultural centers, overall proposal and deepening of the theatre function.
In the second phase, the temporary exhibition function will be studied and the overall proposal for the cultural center will be finalized.
Based on the exhibition proposals made in the team, each student will set up an exhibition dedicated to a contemporary architect of their choice.
Teaching Method:
- ppt. presentations, location visit, case studies and design studio tutoring
Assessment:
- presentation in front a jury (tutors and external guests)
