Learning outcomes:
- the ability to design and present, including through digital techniques, multifunctional interior architecture design
- the ability to analyze the existing building, to develop a concept, to solve the general composition and functionality
- the ability to move from color drawings to their materialization (including details)
- the ability to collaborate within the design team
- understanding the integration of theory into design
- the ability to present the project
Content:
The project is carried out over the course of a semester in two phases, which deepen two architectural programs: theatre and exhibition. The overall project will be carried out in a real site (Sică Alexandrescu Theatre in Brașov), in teams of 4-5 students. Each student will have a personal intervention established with the studio supervisors.
Phase 1 includes visiting the site, analysing the existing building, historical documentation, case studies, the overall proposal, deepening the main theatre hall and a studio hall.
In the second phase, the temporary exhibition function will be studied, a theatrical scenography will be proposed, and the overall proposal will be finalised.
Teaching Method:
- ppt. presentations, location visit, case studies and design studio tutoring
Assessment:
- presentation before a committee made up of 4th year supervisors and possible external guests
