Learning outcomes:
The Dissertation Project represents the final graduation project of the Master's Program "Landscape and Territory" and is located in the space of the current complex concerns of (re)generation, (re)vitalization, (re)naturation, (re)habilitation, (re)instatement, restoration, and the establishment of intervention strategies in the development, design and planning of the Landscape (natural, anthropic and cultural ) regarding the use of the specificity and particularity of the existing potential, as well as multi-scale aesthetic-functional capitalization proposals of a territory/areas/subareas.
The dissertation will be approached in a real territory/site, the project will focus on a general theme with a creative and innovative contribution and the student will individually opt for a current but also visionary sub-theme/topic, regarding the possible evolution of the respective issue in the near or distant future, including the utopian/dystopian version, (post)pandemic, metaverse approach, etc.
The research will be based on scientific bibliographic documentation and case studies regarding the development and planning of the landscape, on a complex issue, with a high degree of difficulty at the theoretical level, but also applied at the territorial level of the macro-landscape.
The study will be carried out on a territory/site and a topic given or chosen by the student, through sensitive analysis of the landscape and multi-scale proposals, from the large macro-territorial scale, to the mezzo-landscape scale, finally proposing a detail of particular importance in the respective territorial urban, architectural and landscape context, but also technical, economic, social, cultural, eco-sustainable, etc.
The project will contain drawn pieces (plans, schemes, commented images, sketches, diagrams, etc.) to illustrate the approach of the research and design process, as well as written pieces (memoirs, balance sheets, statistics, questionnaires, etc.) / as the case.
It will also be integrated into the final dissertation project, the applied research component that will be studied previously and in parallel, within the theoretical dissertation work and the topic and theme imposed/chosen by the student, will have a realistic and/or utopian approach (as appropriate).

It will focus on integration and correlation of all proposals in their areas, approached as a whole, as well as the meanings of research approach and develop a unified concept on a topic and a topic imposed/chosen by option by each student.
The dissertation will be uo approach, taking into account the basic specializarae master licensee in respect transdisciplinary, given its format may be different (landscape urban planner, urban planner, architect, sociologist, anthropologist, ethnologist, ethnographer, horticulturist, forester, ecologist, etc.).
Teaching Method:
It is based on knowledge gained from practical and theoretical subjects in previous years, the presentation of similar case studies of urban/landscape scale and the individual bibliographic study, workshop discussions, criticism of the panel, Net portal and web group as virtual exchange of ideas between students and teamwork (tutors).
The appreciation of drawn and written parts of Disertations developed collectively / individually, evaluation of completed work, evaluation of the activity during the development of the design process within the corrections guided along the way, appreciation of tutors. Final assessment will be done in the jury for the entire team/group/year (for the entire year correlation of the notes).
