- Learning outcomes:
- • Ability to use geospatial tools to create, analyze and disseminate territorial information
• Create basic urban and territorial analysis using Geographical Information Systems
• Increasing the labor market integration of students
- Content:
- • Theoretical framework – types of data, results of GIS, functions and roles of GIS in urban and landscape planning.
• Database – downloading and working on open source platforms + importing data from other sources (.dxf)
• Changing / saving layer properties (graphics, colors, symbols, line types, etc.). Customizing markers depending on the attributes of entities, attribute ruled based selection
• Importing personalized markers (done in different vector programs) + publishing labels
• Working with tables of attributes - adding / deleting layer’s columns of attributes, differentiated selection of items on a layer based on an attribute
• Export QGIS map – print layout, labels, scale, legend
• Georeferencing raster images
• Capturing data (vector tools) + adding attributes to an existing layer form Excel file
• Utilizarera various plugins
- Teaching Method:
- Power point presentations and on studio exercises
- Assessment:
- Mid-semester test evaluation (40%) + Final exam (60%).
Requirements for passing the course: minimum 5,00 average final grade, minimum 5,00 at the final exam.
