- Fișa disciplinei:
- FI-D SFA-64 Ecologie.pdf
- Department:
- Study of Form and Ambience
- Course Leader:
- conf. Elena Codina Dușoiu
- Learning outcomes:
- The course aims an integrated approach on nature as a system, on human activity ando f architecture as a phenomenon emerging together with a series of geographic and bioclimatic conditions. Medium factors are explained as physical phenomena but also by studying their effects on human habitat. The architecture and crafts of the place are analyzed through the invariants that represent bioclimatic conditions of the place, resources, traditions, culture, customs. Special attention is paid to traditional heritage in Romania and to explaining its features. Contemporary tendencies in sustainable architecture in various countries and on various continents are analyzed. Design methods in harmony with the environment and the ecosphere are presented: bionic design, biomimetics, biomorphism, biophilic design. Technical parameters of ambient control are presented.
- Content:
- Course Topics
1. Natural factors in relation to the material universe. The universe as a system
2. Bioclimatic invariants and their influence on the architecture and artifacts of the place. Energy: energy sources in the universe. Conventional energy production systems and consequences on the environment. Unconventional (sustainable) energy production systems
3. The relationship between habitat and resources, tradition, culture. International and European regulations on environmental protection
4. Pre-industrial crafts/creation in Romania. Bioclimatic considerations and sustainability
5. Methods of designing in harmony with the environment: bionic design, biomimetics, biomorphism, biophilic design.
6. Recycling of the built environment and materials – sustainability in design
7. Contemporary trends towards sustainable architecture. Using local resources versus research for advanced design
