Henrieta Delavrancea-Gibory left a significant mark on modern Romanian architecture. Born in 1897 into a family with a great cultural tradition, she attended the Higher School of Architecture in Bucharest, where she was among the first female architecture students enrolled in this institution of higher education. The house at no. 149 on Eminescu Street was designed by Henrieta for herself, and the students’ projects, brought together in the exhibition titled Traces – a mnemonic object – Henrieta Delavrancea-Gibory, offer interpretations of the house, the architect’s creative vision, and the spatial emotion she left behind.
