The series of special talks in IMUAU continues with “The East and the West: Tendencies in Global Architectural Historiography”. Conference will be given by Dan C. Baciu, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, TU Delft, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 22nd of June 2022, at 17.00, in the Council Hall of “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism.
On July 20, 1969, astronaut Armstrong said that his first step onto the moon was a giant leap for humanity. Nobody could have foreseen how right he was. The history that followed includes satellite communication for everyone and satellite imagery day and night, as much as revolutions and new relations between East and West, including those that emerged in architecture and urbanism, as well as new historiographies of art and architecture written and taught at universities. – Dan C.
