Learning outcomes:
- To experiment the formative values of the integrated project system - between architecture, urbanism, restaurations, interior, technical sciencies, architectural technology;
- To understand formative values of the integrated project modell;
-To practice teamwork with participation from other subjects in a framework meant to simulated current professional practice;
- To practise the performante structures conception methods, which are udes for big structural opennings.
- To understand the impact of structural forms on the architectural space and form;
- To approach architectural technology as intrinsic component of a design program, a defining study for the architectural form;
- To acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that will enable them to operate with checking measures of quality in building from the sustainable development perspective;
Content:
Field of Study: STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES/ STRUCTURAL PERFORMANCES.

A. GUIDED PROJECTS
Project on Workshop-Studio Theme. The project theme is elaborated by each design studio being part of the semester themes.
Projects on Chair Theme. According to semester curriculum, the Chair suggests 3 themes from which students can choose, coresponding to 3rd Thematic Module : "ECONOMY"
•Theme 1 SPORT CENTER HALL - 6000 places.
•Theme 2 HIGH OFFICE BUILDING.
•Theme 3 EXHIBITION CENTER HALL.

B. PROJECT WITHOUT GUIDANCE
The one-day paper tests student’s capacity to give a quick and efficient answer to the problems posed by a smaller project task.
The one-day project (2 one-day projects + a one day project to be re-made) is related to the problematic of the guided architectural project.

C. LECTURE ON PROJECT THEORY
Tutors will deliver lectures on themes related to the current architectural project.
- Typologies - Special Structures; Bridges; Comparative analisys: organic and unorganic structures; Sport Halls - functional and structural-constructive problems; Office Buildings - progress and current tendencies; Landmark - buildings for the urban profile and skyline; Functional and technological issues on transportation hub points.
Teaching Method:
Theoretical lectures; checking each student’s project; comments on the project in which the whole group takes part; multi-criteria exploration of the site; public defense of the project.
Assessment:
Studio activity (student’s presence; his/her project workbook; debate and correction of his/her project to which the entire group takes part). Defense of the final project for which the jury will give a grade.
