Learning outcomes:
- Testing a model of training INTEGRATED between architecture, urbanism and technical sciences;
- Understand the pedagogical system of integrated projects;
- Putting students in touch with issues of real locations, giving them the opportunity of free expression of self;
- Understand the concept of sustainable development, environmental issues and ecology;
- Learning the methodology of developing a PUD;
- Site study –the location as a decisive factor for functional and volumetric spatial configuration;
- Understanding the values of architectural space in dialogue with functional aspects and technical issues;
- Exploring the relationship between public space and private space in an existing urban context.

Field of Study – PUBLIC SPACE / PRIVATE SPACE - URBAN SHAPING.

A. GUIDED PROJECTS

Projects on Studio Theme. The project theme is elaborated by each design studio being part of the semester themes.

Projects on Chair Theme. According to semester curriculum, the Chair suggests a thematic accordingly to the TOPICAL MODULE 1 - ACCOMMODATION: SPACE FOR RELAXING, SAFETY, HEALTH - DEFINING ELEMENT IN HUMAN EVOLUTION ":

THEME - COLLECTIVE HOUSING IN CENTRAL ARCHITECTURAL PROTECTED AREAS.

The theme shares a degree of complexity specific to the fourth year of study. The detailed presentations of the suggested topics, including recent bibliography, are offered to students at the beginning of the academic year as a printed booklet. Depending on this material and by consulting the studio team, students could choose one of the variants.

B. PROJECTS WITHOUT GUIDNACE
The one-day paper tests student’s capacity to give a quick and efficient answer to the problems posed by a smaller project task.
The one-day project (2 one-day projects) is related to the problematic of the guided architectural project.

C. LECTURES ON PROJECT THEORY - Tutors will deliver lectures on themes related to the current architectural project.

About the relationship between architectural theme, concept and urban regulations
Teaching Method:
Correction of each student's work, correction of students' work as a group, theoretical lectures with multimedia aids, site visits, case analyses, handouts.
Assessment:
Student's defense of the project within the group, for which the jury will give a grade.
