Learning outcomes:
Provides knowledge of how to interpret and evaluate the city by analyzing its components, analytical thinking and seeks to form a correlative need both planning practice and theoretical understanding of the urban body.
Content:
FRAMEWORK. Town as historic space; economic functioning; aesthetics; significance. Permanence-continuity-growth.
URBAN ANALYSIS. Types and methods of analysis (global, detailed, interpretative-static and dynamic).
URBAN MORPHOLOGY AND TYPOLOGY (theoretical type, prototype, archetype, concrete type).
MORPHO-TYPOLOGICAL ANALYSIS of the components of the urban fabric – the parcel
The building and group of buildings
The street
Junction and square
URBAN FABRIC – Types, singular elements
Another kind of analyzing the urban fabric (parcel system, built system)
Intervention types in the urban fabric
Outcomes (morphological elements of urban aesthetics)
ANALIZA TIPOLOGICĂ A SPAŢIILOR ORAŞULUI:
-Criteria to define sub-zones;
-Various configurative-volumetric spaces;
-Space for various uses;
Spaces having different kind of social and public comfort. Spaces with special significance.
Typological character of the homogeneous, unitary, heterogeneous, mixed, de-structured urban space.
PRACTICAL ACTIVITY - TEST based on the lecture problematic
