Learning outcomes:

The main objective is to offer the general information for the urban conformation due to the comfort equipments restrictions and the pathways.

Content:

Pathways and distribution lines for the urban area and several general restrictions. The interaction between the architectural conformation and the services area.
Soil and terrain destruction and rehabilitation methods. Urban constraints for the rehabilitation.
Surface water treatment.
Water supply distribution: history, water quality, compulsory flowrates, supply schemes, water springs, water treatment, water transport. Sanitary protection for the built areas and the equipments field.
Rain and waste water sewage. Sewage systems. Severe urbanistic restrictions. Sewage equipments.
Waste water disposal and purification. Techniques for the water pure degree control.
Residual urban trash: collecting, distributing, ecology premises, burning plants.
Gas supply. Complex gas supply systems.
Heating supply. Local sources, central heating, cogeneration systems.
Electrical supply systems. High and medium voltage distribution lines. Low voltage systems.
Technical distribution lines coordination. Urban technical galleries.
Underground systems.
Case study for the water distribution system- <5.000 citizens.
Case study for the water distribution system- >80.000 citizens.
Solution study for the heating system using a cogeneration heater and optimal piping systems.
Case study for the electrical urban voltage systems.
System integration for the equipments necesities using a certain urban area.
Cost-efficiency analysis for the modern systems. Renewable energy systems.
Comparison study between two urban examples. Paris/Madrid technical conformation.

Teaching Method:

Presentations, lectures and case studies.

Assessment:

80% final examination + 20% individual mark (tests, documentation work)
