The International Academic Relations Office
The International Academic Relations Office of the UAUIM is responsable for the maintaining and developement of academic cooperation with similar universities from the whole world, with the purpose of exchanging ideas referring to architectural education. It also coordinates the participation of UAUIM in long-running programs, such as: ERASMUS, LEONARDO DA VINCI, IAESTE etc., and the relationship with international and European associations whose member UAUIM is, such as: EUA (European Universities Association), EAAE (European Association for Architectural Education), IAU-UNESCO (International Association of Universities) etc.
The International Academic Relations Office organizes on the basis of bilateral relations graduate and post-graduate study programmes, workshops, conferences, exhibitions etc. together with the linked Universities, in Romania or abroad. Within our office the relation with professors and famous architects is kept also, many of them having became friends of the UAUIM and often participating in the juries of our diplomas.
The structure of the International Academic Relations Office is divided into 3 sections:
- Programs and bilateral agreements with universities from Europe (among the most active partners there are the architecture schools from: Lausanne, Paris-Belleville, Paris-La Villette, Montpellier, Liege, Eindhoven)In charge: Assoc. Prof.Ph.D.arch. Beatrice Jöger
- Programs and bilateral agreements with universities from Northern America and AsiaIn charge: Senior Lecturer Ph.D.arch. Françoise Pamfil
- Programs and bilateral agreements with universities from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America (The concrete activities based on these mutual agreements started a few time ago, in 2006. Since then we have every year a Spanish-Romanain workshop, in collaboration with the Technical Superior School of Architecture from Madrid, Spain and a number of 10 students and 2 members of the teaching staff which participated in academic exchanges with universities frim Brazil and Argentina)In charge: Senior Lecturer Ph.D.arch.
