Learning outcomes:
The project aims is to collecting and assimilating the notion of urban landscape, in this sense it is the first step in a series of projects, following completion of a particular thinking process. Perception of the morphology of the urban landscape is done in the urban image: the passes, landmarks, sequences. Thus, the proposed exercise will follow a stages of how to act upon an existing urban area, aiming at aesthetics of an area by expanding the image of the various urban forms (building insertion, planning route - street / pedestrian, landscaped whole collective and individual dwellings; square fitting / intersection)
Content:
1. Insertion of a group of housing in a cvasinatural site – 2 phases study (analysis and proposal)
2. Landscape intervention in various urban forms – 2 phases study (analysis and proposal)
The study of landscape intervention in various urban forms, developed in two phases, has the following objectives:
- analysis of the possibilities of intervention and re-design of an existing tissue, in the public spaces - footpaths, planted areas, playgrounds, etc.. ;
- increase the quality of public space by a new organization and increasing the percentage of planted areas by organizing the traffic and the parking areas;
- configuration of an identity of the studied spaces, suggesting structural elements, accents, directions, landmarks, and perspective etc.
Teaching Method:
presentation of case studies, individual discussion, criticism of the panel.
Assessment:
Weighted average of the two projects by the number of credits.
- evaluation throughout the project by assessing the work of student independent study (20%) and presentation in the debate (20%) and assessment of each phase of the jury (30% per phase).
