- The course comes with an interpretation of the specific concepts and information from the psycho-sociological field seen from within the conceptual and operational framework of architecture and urban planning.
- Content:
- 1. The current problematic concept in matters of psychological and urban-architectural perspective of the built urban space;
2. Psycho-social component as part of the urban phenomenon;
3. Conceptual category of the social space;
4. Specific features of the urban built space: the street, the square, the building;
5. Micro-events and urban liveliness;
6. Perception. Perceptive images and expectations (I);
7. Urban built space as communication means;
8. Perceptive system. Memory and perception (II);
9. Behavior as an outcome of perception: Image in the “Simplified model of the real world”;
10. A possible model of the interaction of Concept maker-User- Urban Built Space;
11. Stages of conception process: design by highlighting the psychological dimension of specific constraints;
12. Methods and techniques on the analysis of behavior and perception within the urban built space;
Practical activities:
1. (Surveys) and opinions on an urban-architectural problem;
2. Making and interpreting some observation cards on the behavior within the urban built space. - Teaching Method:
