Understanding of the methods of investigation and preparation of the brief for a design project;
The necessary design skills to meet building users' requirements within the constraints imposed by cost factors and building regulations.
Content:
A global view in to the concept of the building, looking for the materials, functions and time. Levels end componing elements in the material, spatial and concept structure of the buildings.
The system of exigency and the exigency-performance analisys. The conceptual flux from the human and tehnological exigency to function of the buildings and buildigns elements.
An overview of the diferent lists of exigencies, criteria and parameters that came to support the architectural design.
To integrate the analisys system of performance in the architectural design.
Elements of some possible personal methods that may be applied in the procces of architectural design, especialy in the finishing fazes.
Detailing some specific suplimentary exigencies, included in the Low for Quality in Constructions. (fire safety and usage safety).
An overview of the exigencies approched by now in different courses in faculty and making the necessary lists of criteria and parameters.
Evaluation test.
Dimensions coordonation. Purpose, content, logic. Modular grids and frames with an functional, technologic and architectural image aim.
An conceptual path and performancy analisys applied to ansambles, systems and parts of an building.
Relation architecture-technology. Current and futura tendencies in architectural and technological conception and constructions making.
Information flux in complex architectural design. Architectural project and complex project. The architect and the team of colaborators and consultants.
The trajectory investment-project-execution. Technical and economical relations between investor, architect and builder.

Technical specifications for builders.
Technical and economic management of invesment.
Teaching Method:
An lecture with visual support (films and projector). With the support of invited specialists, in order to present the speccific aspects of design-build relationship.
Assessment:
The evaluation will consider the student activity along the semester (prezence and participation – 10%), partial evaluation test – 30%, an wrten paper about analisys and checking of an own project, chosen by the student – 40%, final test – 20%.
