- Learning outcomes:
- Awareness in research upon the context (conservation areas or just built up areas) and working with and within building urban regulation. Students will learn to rehabilitate, conserve and enhance the cultural values of the above mention areas, thru the design of the new building or the extension of existing one.
- Content:
- 1. defining and outlining the perimeter of the urban and architectural analysis
2. the analysis of the area and the proposal of urban regulations, with respect to the multicriterial analysis
3. setting up of the main attitudes towards the building area (conservation, demolition, extension, new building) with respect to the pre-determined urban character and architectural lexic of the area. - Teaching Method:
- Studio tutoring accompanied by presentations and conferences.
- Assessment:
- Project evaluation with respect to :
- the coherence of the analysis and the regulations proposed accordingly
- the coherence of the working method during the project phases
- the proper ellaboration of the architectural theme with respect to the issues of the site
